Beneficial Interests in the Company Arron Banks holds 1,991,241 ordinary shares in the Company in his own name. Rene Nominees (IOM) Limited hold a further 75,556,695 ordinary shares in the Company on his behalf. These shareholdings in total amount to 77,547,936 shares and represent 17.05% of the issued share capital of the Company.
Paul Chase-Gardener holds 33,050,286 ordinary shares in the Company through J M Finn Nominees and the Self Invested Pension Plan of his wife, Jane Chase-Gardener, holds 650,000 ordinary shares in the Company. These shareholdings in total amount to 33,700,286 shares and represent 7.4% of the issued capital of the Company.
John Gannon holds 37,163,728 ordinary shares in the Company in his own name which represents 8.17% of the issued capital of the Company.
In addition to the personal shareholdings detailed above, Arron Banks, Paul Chase-Gardener and John Gannon together control both Southern Rock Insurance Company Limited (“SRICL”) and Rock Holdings Limited.
SRICL holds 4,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 0.88% of the issued share capital of the Company.
Rock Holdings Limited holds 20,000 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 0.00% of the issued share capital of the Company.
The Rock Holdings Employee Benefits Trust hold 5,188,640 ordinary shares in the Company which represent 1.14% of the issued share capital of the Company.
Shares not in Public Hands As at 16th June, 45.84% of the issued share capital was not in public hands.
Treasury Shareholdings As at 16th June 2010, Brightside Group plc does not hold any treasury shares.

Restrictions on AIM Securities Pursuant to the placing of new shares on 21st December 2009, Arron Banks, Paul Chase-Gardener and John Gannon, all directors of the Company, undertook not to sell any shares for a period of 12 months except with the prior written consent of the Company’s broker and the Company.
Pursuant to the June 2010 placing, 12,500,000 shares were placed with institutional investors on behalf of selling shareholders. The selling shareholders were Arron Banks, a director of the Company and certain other employees and original shareholders. Each of the selling shareholders (including Arron Banks) undertook not to sell any of their shares for 12 months, except with the prior written consent of the Company’s broker and the Company.
At 30 June 2010 Paul Chase Gardener held 33,050,286 shares in the Company, John Gannon held 37,163,728 shares in the Company, Arron Banks held 77,547,936 shares in the Company, and the remaining selling shareholders, excluding Arron Banks, held 49,662,160 shares in the Company. Therefore at 30 June 2010, a total of 197,424,110 shares were held under restriction.
